Gird Up!

Proverbs 31: 17,  She girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms.

How exactly can you clothe yourself with strength?  Whether you are struggling or you are just dealing with everyday life, you need godly strength.  I have seen people present a strong front by sounding tough or gruff and sometimes even angry, but that isn’t true strength.  True strength comes from the Lord and it is available to us because of His Spirit that lives within us once we have accepted Him as our Savior.  That same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead, that all power, nothing can stop or hinder it Spirit, lives within you.  So, whether it is strength to help you walk in confidence at work or the strength you need to just get you through the day, it is there.

You are the child of the Most High God and He wants you to feel like it and act like it.  He wants you to walk in that confidence.  He wants you to rely on Him to give you the wisdom you need and He wants you to allow Him to lead you in all that you do so you can have that confidence!  Ephesians 1: 16-23 is my prayer for all of us, it says, “I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.  I keep asking that God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know Him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.  That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.  And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.”  My prayer is for us to KNOW Him!  The more we know Him and recognize His power in our lives the more we will become like Him and grow into all that He created us to be!  That may seem like a tall order and yet God always leads step by step and at the pace, He knows each of us is able to grow.  He created you and He knows what you need to become all He created you to be.  He loves you beyond anything you can imagine and He has a plan for your life.

You don’t have to stand in your own strength.  You don’t have to face anything, big or small alone!  He wants to walk with you in all that you do and He wants to help you become all that He created you to be so ask Him for His strength and confidence in all that you do and trust Him to guide you.  Trust that if you are walking with Him then you can know that truly His best is yet to come!
