God Made Every Detail with a Purpose in Mind

Judges 3:15   But when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for them, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man left-handed :

God has a purpose for every detail when He formed you!  If you read this whole chapter the story is pretty gruesome but I was fascinated to think that it was pointed out that Ehud was left-handed.  I know some left-handed people that get frustrated because they live in a predominantly right-handed world but it is clear here that God does everything with a purpose in mind! It was easier for him to accomplish what God was calling him to do by that one little detail.

We live in a world where so often “different” doesn’t work or fit in with some people and yet God made us all different to accomplish His plan.  No matter where you are or who you are or how different some people may think you are God has a plan for you if you will allow Him to guide you to it. The key is to recognize the call of God on your life, now I’m certain it isn’t the plan He had for Ehud but there is a plan and God made everything about you to accomplish that plan.

Trust me I could feel the need to write this to convince myself that the flaws I see in myself or that have been pointed out to me by others are here for a purpose, I don’t know but I do know for God to point out simple details about different people throughout the Bible He is saying, ” check it out!  I did it on purpose, let me show you what that purpose is.” Are you willing and ready to allow Him to show you what His full purpose is?  My new prayer is for God to show me every detail of what His purpose is for my life!  I don’t want to miss out because I am too focused on what may be perceived as “wrong with me” trust me that could be easy to do BUT we are called to focus on Him not ourselves, that is where our strengths and abilities lie!

So don’t allow yourself or others to make you think you are in any way inferior for what might be seen as a weakness or “flaw”!  Remember;  God’s strength is made perfect in weakness!  (2 Cor. 12:9)
