God Still Holds The Plan

Jeremiah 29:11-13,  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

God’s plan is there and available for each and every one of us!  Where are you right now in life?  Are you in the center of His plan?  Quite often when you are following His plan you run into struggle after struggle because satan doesn’t want you to continue, but don’t lose heart, keep pressing in ~ you know God will see you through!  Allow those struggles to grow your faith in Him as you watch Him work out His plan.  Get excited about what God is about to do.

God was speaking to Israel through Jeremiah the Prophet because they had wandered so far from Him. So when you read through the book of Jeremiah you see how God’s pleads with them to follow Him and get their hearts right with Him. He literally gives them the promises above and yet they chose to rebel. God’s word is for us as well.  His desire is for us to follow Him, not just on a surface level but truly seek Him.  I have seen way too many people, and have experienced just exactly what their lives bring to the table that only pretend they have a relationship with God, and your walk with God is not to be a fake it til you make it thing.  God wants a real relationship with you!  No one wants to be friends with someone who is just pretending to be their friend, there’s truly no benefit to a relationship like that.  God wants to walk with you and He wants your relationship with Him to grow deeper every day.  He loves you!

On another level there are times when we get so frustrated with our governments because our nations are a mess and we need to stop and remember that the government is truly a reflection of where our nations (the people) are spiritually.  We can’t put God on the shelf and expect Him to bless us with goodness in our personal lives or in our nations.  We must seek Him with our whole hearts.  We must teach our children and grandchildren.  We must get back to His word, not legalism but a What Would Jesus Do, mentality!  We need to get to know Him more every day and we need to do all we can to pray for others and pray for our leaders and teach and pray for the children.  The world is fighting for your attention but you can fight back by being intentional in your pursuit of God.  When you read the rest of the book of Jeremiah you can see how God declared disaster on the people because they were so stubborn and they just wouldn’t follow Him, they were determined to do their own thing and then they wanted to know why He allowed the disaster to come.  While God is good all of the time, He is also a Holy and Just God so yes there are disasters that come when people rebel against Him.  A lot of the time our struggles are caused by someone’s poor choices and the best way to turn that around in your life is to pursue God with your whole heart!  Don’t allow a struggle to discourage you.  If you are walking through the fire, then just keep on doing what God is telling you to do because you can trust Him to do what is right regardless of what it may look like right now.  Choose to do what is right regardless of what anyone around you may be doing.  If you want true justice then allow God to do your vindicating and fighting, just “Be still”.

God truly wants you to know how much He loves you today.  He sees everything you will face today, tomorrow, and the rest of your life and He has a plan.  He is pleading with you to stick to His plan.  Cling to Him!  Pursue Him and trust Him, He is faithful!  There are no better plans out there!  He’s got you in the palm of His hand!

Quote:  “The life of faith is lived one day at a time, and it has to be lived, not always looked forward to as though the ‘real’ living were around the next corner.  It is today for which we are responsible.  God still owns tomorrow.”  ~ Elisabeth Elliot
