Genesis 16:13 So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing,” for she said, “Truly here I have seen Him who looks after me.”
Have you seen Him? When Hagar, Sarah’s servant that she gave Abram for a wife, recognized God as a God who truly “saw” her for who she was and where she was in life she then realized how much He cared and looked after her. We all want someone in life to truly see us, to take the time to really know us and care on such a deep level and yet we often miss the fact that God sees us that way, He cares about every detail of the way He created us and He wants us to know Him on that same level.
So often we reach the times of tremendous struggle in life or our hearts get broken by people who let us down and we have such a longing for our hearts to be healed and that void to be filled and we tend to look in “all the wrong places” for it to be filled. God is truly the only one who can fill us emotionally, He is the only one who can truly heal our hearts (another relationship isn’t going to ‘fix’ it) and He is the only one that can lift us back up and put us back on solid ground again.
Stop right where you are today, whether you are in a valley of life or on a mountain top and recognize God for who He is, “a God of seeing”, really allow that to sink in because He wants you to know that He is looking after you today and every day. He loves you and cares for you and whether or not you are thriving on the mountain or struggling in the valley of life, He knows and He cares about where you are and where you are headed. He sees You, you haven’t escaped His view for a min and He cares!
Allow God’s love to fill you today and to give you the peace of knowing that whereever you are He can handle anything now or down the road for you. Allow Him to give you all the hope you need today because He has your future in His hands and He will give you the victories you need to make it. Be all you are called to be for Him today and trust Him to handle the rest!
Quote: “Your success or failure in life will not be decided by the number of setbacks you encounter, but rather how you react to them.”
