Luke 2;16-20
“And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.”

I can only imagine that Mary was in awe from the moment she was told that she was going to be the Mother of the Son of God until the day she passed away. Children are an amazing blessing from the Lord whether they are yours or someone else’s but to know He wasn’t just any child He was the child of God Himself must have been overwhelming at times! What a blessing but what a responsibility as well.

Every time she looked into His face she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that God was with her. As He played outside, as she fed Him lunch or tucked Him into bed, God was with her. Immanuel ~ means God with us and He has never left us and He never will. Even though we don’t physically see Him God is with us every single day through every blessing and every trial, He is with us. God tucks you into bed every night, He is your protector as it says in Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” He is our peace, our provider, our Savior, our Knight in Shining Armor.

Remember as you go through the day that God is with you, He will sustain you and He will provide. He loves you and He will never leave you. Make Him your focus, don’t allow this situation to stress you out, go with the flow and enjoy your loved ones and allow God to fill your heart and mind with His peace and love. Focus on Him. Give Him first place in all you do and say. Allow His love to fill your home. If you have stressful family situations ask Him for His wisdom in handling those people but don’t allow it to ruin your time of worshipping God!
