Psalm 55: 16-17
But I call to God and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and He hears my voice.

What is it that has consumed your heart to the point that you find yourself pouring your heart out to God all throughout the day and night? Maybe it is your finances, your job, your marriage or maybe you are living in a dangerous situation and you can’t seem to see the way out. Whatever it is you can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God hears your voice. He cares and as it says in verse 22 of this chapter, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved!

God’s desire is for His name to be exalted through your life and He cares about every detail of it! Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Hold on to your hope in God, that is always where the answers are! As many times as David faced death and just utter craziness in His life He turned His heart toward God and put his trust in Him. Psalm 43: 5 says, “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God.” He will turn your mourning into dancing and your ashes to beauty if you will just give it all to Him! It was when David took things into His own hands that He paid a heavy price.

Take some time today and look back over your life and remind yourself of all the times He was there. If you have a godly friend to reminisce with sit down together and share stories whether they are personal stories, someone else’s stories or Bible stories and remind yourself of who you are in Christ and hold onto all that He is and all He has done and know that He isn’t finished with you yet so you can trust Him with all that you are facing!

In closing always remember that God loves you enough to have given His son for you so you can spend eternity with Him, everything else you may face in life pales in comparison to the sacrifice He made to do that. What you face today is a small thing for the God of ALL to handle, pour your heart out to Him and know He will always do what is best! The best is yet to come!

“What you face today is a small thing for the God of ALL to handle, pour your heart out to Him and know He will always do what is best! The best is yet to come!”

You’re right in that things like a job are a small thing for God to handle yet you can’t say the best is yet to come unless you’re referring to us dying and going to heaven as the ‘yet to come’.

I don’t see how leaving someone without a job where they can’t pay their bills is “best.” I don’t see where leaving someone alone for years is “best”. I’m sorry, I don’t see how a God who loves me as much you try to make it appear in this column would leave so many people who cry out to Him high and dry.

How cruel is it for a father, who allegedly loves their child SO much, to sit there having all the power in the world to fix their child’s problem yet sits there and does nothing? I don’t know any parent who even moderately loves their child that would sit there and watch them suffer when they have the ability to stop that suffering. Yet God choses every single day to refuse to help “His children” who are out of work, lonely, struggling, etc.

Hey Jason, I have been exactly where you are and I hear your heart! I am sorry that you are facing all of this in this season ~ it will pass, I know it will but I know that while it is here, it’s hard to even look up! I get it, but He does care and He will get you through this! I am praying for you and your family and for God to show Himself mighty in your life and situation!
      God Bless,
      Janet
