Psalm 126:1 – 5 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then they said among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
What is in your life that is holding you captive? Are there addictions, low self-esteem, abuse, bad relationships, or maybe your finances? What is it that seems to be holding you down? Are there dreams for your life that you have given up on?
Persevere, I don’t know how else to say it, but if you will just hold on and continue to do right the Lord will come through for you. They that sow in tears will reap in joy. Trust me I know from experience it is much easier said than done. Some struggles seem as though they may never end, the circumstances will never change and some days it is hard to know just how much more you can take, but God wants to see you get excited again about what He has planned!
God will give you back your ability to dream about what lies ahead again and he will fill your mouth with laughter and your tongue with singing if you allow Him to continue to work in your life. Don’t give up, press forward, He isn’t finished, He will do great things. If you haven’t written Jeremiah 29:11-13 on a card yet to carry with you, do it today so you can pull it out and remind yourself that God still has a plan for your life!
Never give up! If you are in the will of God press on and don’t get discouraged now, your answer could be right around the bend. So often the toughest times come just before your breakthrough so get ready, God is about to do great things. Don’t allow satan to rob you of your victory by convincing you to give up because it just isn’t worth the pain. So, if you are following God, He put those dreams in your heart for a reason! Dust them off, pull yourself up and get ready for all He has planned for you!
Trust God and today make the decision that you will persevere until you get to the other side! Storms in life come to all of us, but God wants to use you and your story. God has great things in store for you if you are following Him, so pray for the strength and guidance you will need today and take one day at a time until you get to the other side.
