He Still Has A Plan

Psalm 103:11-12
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

What is it that is holding you back for what you feel called to do? Is there something that in your heart you know God called you to a long time ago and yet you still aren’t doing it? Do you feel you may be too old or maybe you have done things in your past or present and don’t think God could use you? God is a Great and Mighty God, don’t underestimate Him and all that He can do with your story at any age!

When I went through my divorce many years ago, I had left because of all of the affairs my husband had had and because I literally feared for our lives. It was a mess as it always is when marriages fall apart, the divorce was simple but the impact it had on all of us as well as others who knew us was overwhelming. One Sunday after my divorce, someone came up to me after church and asked me when I would sing again in church and I said I wasn’t sure, I hadn’t been asked to and I sort of needed some time to adjust. One of the leaders of the church overheard what was said and he pulled me aside to let me know that I would never sing in the church again, not even in the choir because I was divorced and they couldn’t afford that sort of public embarrassment! Wow! I was horrified! Not only had I just lost my dreams for our future with my husband but now I tried to process the thought that I would never be used by God again! Bless his heart, that man was wrong for saying that, He was not the one who would determine my worth to God, Thank God! You see, I fully believed that when I was 12 years old I was called by God to be a missionary, that was part of my struggle getting a divorce, I had hoped and prayed that my husband who had gone to Bible school to be a preacher would feel the same call, obviously that wasn’t the call he felt. I lived for years feeling hopeless and unusable for God. What exactly does that leave you with in life, if you feel as though you have missed the call of God on your life and you won’t be used by Him again? It left me empty, other than the fact I loved my children and knew my call was to be a good Mom to them and hopefully they could be used by God one day, but I didn’t really think He would use me!

No matter where you are today, no matter what you have done, no matter how old you are God can and will use you if you make yourself available and follow Him with your whole heart! Give it all to Him! Give Him all your reasons or maybe someone else’s reasons for why you cannot be used and just lay them all right there at the bottom of the cross! Now, choose to follow Him and allow Him to decide how to use you! God has placed within each of us the gifts and talents that He will use to fulfill all that He created you to be! Don’t allow Satan to have victory in your life one more Day! Get Your call back today! Go after what God has for you to do with all your heart, mind and soul!

You see, the sad thing is, there were years wasted because I thought I was washed up and couldn’t be used anymore. I felt as though I would never have the opportunity to be a missionary and yet God has used Chocolate and God in 141 countries around the world! God is so good and no matter where you are, He wants to use you! Don’t miss out on His call for you for any reason!

Quote:
“Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day, saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”
