He Wants To Be Present

Jeremiah 29:13,  “you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Do you ever have those moments or days when you just feel as though you are walking alone and not really feeling God’s presence?  It feels as though He is at a distance, you know He is there, and you know you are still walking with Him, but you’re missing His presence.

It is so easy to get caught up in what needs to be done or maybe even vacation or the holidays and before you know it your day is gone and you are so exhausted that you collapse in bed knowing you have missed your quality time with Him.  It happens to everyone at times.  If you want His presence, you must seek Him with all your heart.  Even doing something like watching “The Chosen” series, can be great for you and your family.  Making your focus of what you read and watch to remind yourself of who He is will draw you into His presence.  You can’t ignore Him all day and then expect to have His presence in your life.  Ladies, you know what it’s like when your husband is distant or grumpy all day and then somehow thinks you are just going to be all-loving and receptive and sweet at the end of the day?  Look at the book of Esther:  Vashti was not about just waltzing in while her husband and his friends were drunk and she had a banquet herself that she was attending and overseeing.  We all can have that attitude at times and yet too often that is the way God is treated.  It’s like people say, “yup, yup, I hear you God, but I am a bit busy right now, I will get to you later,” and then they want something or they just want His presence and the response is, “Hey God, I need you over here ~ now!”  It doesn’t work that way.  God wants to walk with you all day long and He wants to guide you and that is on you to choose that.  It is a mindset to say, “God, show me how I can walk with you every moment of every day. Reveal to me when I am doing something that doesn’t honor you or when I have just too much other stuff in my life.  Help me to walk with you and seek your face.”  If you truly want His presence, not just answers, but His presence then seek Him.  Make what you read, and watch and listen to more about Him and less of the world.  There are a lot of shows that are entertaining that you really don’t need to watch, choose something that will move you closer to God.  Choose your time wisely.  Your whole family will love watching “The Chosen” (no, I don’t get anything for mentioning them, it is just a great series and very well done!)

Choose His presence and watch how your days and attitudes change.  Nothing is more important than your walk with God.  He loves you and He sees you and He wants to reveal more of Himself to you so you can fully understand that His best is yet to come!
