He Wants To Fill You With Joy in The Midst of the Chaos

Psalm 94:18-19. When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.  When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.

Ok, lately I have thought, “either I am getting really old or the world is full of trouble (more than usual).  Everywhere I turn it seems as though I run into people with many cares on their hearts and they are feeling overwhelmed.  If we allow God to, He will cheer our souls so we can endure.  It is tough when everything seems to be going wrong all around you or your world seems upside down to be upbeat and not in the “depths of despair”.

God wants to cheer our hearts and give us excitement for what He is doing and what He is about to do and He will console us if we look for it and allow it.  Sometimes we can wake up in the morning, grumpy and our mindset is on all that is wrong in our lives instead of what is right and the fact that even if we can’t see it right now, God has a plan!  There are times that optimism is a choice we must make and we must force ourselves to stay on track instead of allowing all the pain and frustrations going on to overtake us.  We are still called to be women of God even when everything around us seems wrong.  Does that mean there will never be times when we get angry or frustrated with our situations or people around us?  No.  But it does mean that our overall outlook will be one that pleases God because we have chosen to trust Him and allow Him to console us.

Stand tall today, know that God has a plan, look for all the little things today that He is trying to console you with, look for what is right in your life instead of allowing satan to have a hay day with all that is “not quite right” right now.  Choose joy today, choose victory, choose to seek Him, and allow Him to love on you!  Know that truly His best is yet to come!
