He Wants to Give You a Boost Up

Isaiah 40:29. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

If you feel as though you just can’t hold on anymore, look up!  God will give you the strength for whatever you are facing or for whatever you are called to do.  Quite often it is our worry about a situation that drags us down and leaves us feeling worn out and exhausted.  It is rarely the actual battle that wears us down it is everything surrounding the battle.  God never intends for you to go it alone ~ He asks you to bring it all to Him and allow Him to carry you through; Psalm 55:22 “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”  He wants to be there for you so don’t go looking elsewhere!

Maybe right now you don’t really feel as though you are struggling with any serious battles, you are more on the mountaintop than wandering in the wilderness or valleys of life.  There are still things in life you need strength for!  There are still everyday life situations that require more strength or wisdom than what you have on your own.  We are never in a position in life where we don’t need God’s help.  His plan has always been to walk with us and for us to need Him on some level.  There are many people who seemingly have it all together, they are wealthy, married, healthy and miserable and the reason for that is that there is nothing that can fill that “God void” in your life outside of Him.  Have you ever eaten a huge meal and shortly after felt as though you wanted something but you just couldn’t figure out what it was?  That typically means there was something that was missing in your diet in that meal, maybe a protein or it could be that you ate more meat and carbohydrates and left your body needing the minerals and vitamins in that veggie tray you passed up, life is very similar, you need balance.  All the money in the world is not going to wash away your need for Him!

Is there something in your future that you know God is calling you to do that scares the fire out of you, just thinking about it?  I can relate, but you and I must remember:  Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”  Nothing is too difficult for God so don’t go in your own strength, He will give you all you need, to do all He has called you to do.  Back when God gave Moses all of the details, and let me tell you there were a lot of details for building the Ark of The Covenant, he told Moses; Exodus 31:1-5, The Lord said to Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood to work in every craft.”  God has given you all of the gifts and talents you need to do what you are facing and now He will give you the strength you need as well.  Do not allow anyone else to tell you that you cannot do what God is telling you to do, don’t miss out on His best!

Now, if you truly want God’s strength the place to start is by asking Him of course and then you need to choose what you focus on and how you think.  Take those thoughts captive and focus on Him.  Philippians 4:8, “Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think, about these things.”
