Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Ladies it amazes me how God loves us. I am not sure why it amazes me because He created Moms to love their children in somewhat the same way; no matter how old they get or what they go through, if they have a burden it is our burden in our hearts. We love them and we still want to carry them just as God does us, it is a part of Him that we were created in His likeness with, even more so than men.

No matter how old you are, no matter what you are facing God still wants to carry you and deliver you. He loves you and it doesn’t get old to Him to care for you and what you are facing. He is right there beside you, every step of the way!

I was reading about the crucifixion this morning and when I read the verses about Judas and how he never seemed to anticipate that they would convict Jesus, I wondered how he could have been with Jesus every day for all that time and have missed what Jesus was saying about His own death and that He would be betrayed and crucified. Then I pondered why God created us knowing that there would be a lot of people who would just be ignorant and cruel and reject Him, it seemed like a lot of trouble. But then I was reminded of another way we as women are created like Him and that is in the area of ‘love’. We so desperately grow up wanting to be chosen, to be loved like no other, to be pursued and known and so does God! He wants so badly to be chosen by you and to be loved, pursued and known by you so He created all of us with a choice. We were made with that vacuum that only He can truly fill but we still have a choice with what and whom to fill it with. That is why it is no burden to Him to carry us all throughout our lives when we choose Him, it blesses His heart.

Cling to Him today if you are facing more than you can bear, in fact cling to Him even when it seems trivial and if you are on the mountaintop right now hold onto Him enjoying the view. He wants to enjoy the good times and the bad with you. He wants to hold you up when you can no longer do it yourself and carry you to the top of that mountain! Don’t miss out today on the fact that He loves you so dearly and He wants desperately for you to rely on Him to carry you through.
