He Will Give You Exactly What You Need

Joel 2:23  Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you.

What is going on today, do you need something from God?  Have you been saying that you just can’t take it any more?  Believe me, I have been there and have felt that I had all I could take and I just couldn’t take one more day of waiting, but I did.  Somehow the earth didn’t stop revolving around the sun and my life just kept going and I made it through another day.

So, what’s the point?  The point is this; God gave you the “rain” in the past and He will do it again.  God has given you what you need to get through today.  Your answer may be here today or it may not but either way He has given you what you need for today.   He will give you the strength to face today if you rest in Him.  We can either face days like this with a good attitude, making the best of the day or we can grumble and complain and feel sorry for ourselves all day – we have a choice. Trust me though, I have tried the pity party days and it was miserable, nothing good came of it and looking back I wasted a day that could have been good in some way.

God is faithful, He knows exactly where you are, what you have faced, what you are going to face today and He loves you and cares about it all.  You haven’t escaped His notice, not even for a minute.  He knows you feel alone and lost at times with what to do next, trust Him – He’s got it covered.  Life isn’t easy, Job 14:1 says, “Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.”  Job had a lot of good happen but he also had more than his share (in our eyes) of trouble.

When you look at what you are going through today ask yourself this; one day when I am looking back on this situation and this day how do I want to see I handled it?  Do you want to be able to look back and see, “wow, I really learned to lean on God through those times and He was faithful and carried me through!” or do you want to look back and think, “wow, what a baby I was, kicking and whining through it all while God must have been looking for Duck tape to cover my mouth as He dragged me to the other side.”?  Hmmmmm…….. I have had both of those situations, I am embarrassed to say.  Some things I look back on and think, “really Janet?” and other times I can look back on and think, “wow, God really sustained me through that when I turned to Him and really leaned on Him, spending more time in His word and listening to music that glorified Him through it all.”  How big is your problem today vs. how big your God really is?  You aren’t alone and you will make it through.  Hateful people will pass and no matter how bad the situation is today, God can handle it.

I would like to encourage you today to trust Him with your day today.  Set aside whatever you are having a difficult time with and focus on having a good day.  Do what you can for where you are today (don’t miss that part – Do What You Can!) and then leave the rest to God!  Have an incredibly blessed day and remember the best is truly yet to come!

Quote:   “Courage does not always roar.  Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”
