Acts 3:26
God having raised up his servant, sent him to you first to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.

The first blessing of God you can receive is His turning “you from your wickedness”. The first step is accepting Him as your savior, but it doesn’t stop there! God wants you to live a life of freedom and that freedom is from the sin that will hold you back and drown you in guilt!

There is no sin that will come your way that doesn’t come with a price tag! Choosing to live in sin will cost you everything at some point! God is gracious and merciful, but He is a God who sees, He is a God who cares about every detail of your life. You can’t just pick and choose which details He cares about! He wants what is best and not just for you but for all the lives of those you touch. Once you start down that path, the only way back is to repent and make things right.

The opportunity to sin is all around you! You don’t have to search far these days for porn, you don’t even have to pay for it, you can find it on Facebook. If you struggle in that area then you need an accountability partner. It is next to impossible to work most jobs these days without accessing the internet but there are programs you can use that will give you accountability so you can have victory and not have to live with that burden. If you struggle in your marriage and you have found yourself confiding in someone of the opposite sex, stop it and find either a counselor or a friend of the same sex to talk to because you are playing with fire and it will come back to bite you in the bum! Whatever area you are struggling in, you can find a life coach or counselor to help walk you through. Whatever you do, do not allow Satan a foothold because he will drag you down until you don’t know which way is up anymore because his desire is to destroy you! The “pleasure” of that sin will be short lived compared to the price you will pay down the road especially if you are waiting to be “found out” vs. confessing and making it right! Satan will do everything he can to keep you bound up in that sin by convincing you that confessing is a bad idea, don’t buy his lies!

It is a daily choice to choose what is good and right. You have to start with a clean slate by confessing your sin to God and those you have sinned against:
~ if you have cheated in your marriage, you need to confess to your spouse
~ if you have stolen something at work you need to confess to your boss
~ if you have an addiction you need to let those who love you know and find an accountability partner
Whatever it is, make it right today and begin your walk with God, fresh and clean. Leave everyone’s reactions to God and trust Him to see you through no matter what happens. He loves you and He wants to bless your life but first you must allow Him to “turn you from your wickedness” ~ you can’t have it both ways!

The choice is yours for the choosing! Choose wisely and choose what is best! God loves you and wants your life to be all He created it to be! The best is yet to come, if you choose it!
