Hold On To Your Faith ~ Don’t Lose Hope

Mark 6:5-6  And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them.  And he marveled because of their unbelief.

Are we limiting God because of our unbelief?  Jesus had gone back to his home and hometown and this was the response of the people there.  He was probably thinking about the fact He grew up with those people and they still had no faith.  How is your faith today for your situation?  Are you so tired of waiting you are giving up?  Do you feel as though this is too big to really expect God to do anything about it?  Have you been telling God you will settle for less than you really need because you just can’t imagine that He will come through with the whole answer?  God is so much bigger than whatever you are facing!

First of all, don’t give up if you have been waiting for a while.  He may have left your situation alone for a while to make you stronger.  If you read farther on in this chapter you see that when He was walking on the water and saw the disciples struggling against the wind in their boat His first response was that He intended to walk on by to the other side.  Maybe He figured the physical exertion was good for them so they could burn off a little stress, who knows but when they saw Him and didn’t recognize Him He told them it was Him and He got in the boat with them and calmed the storm.  So, maybe that thing you are facing that you are most fearful of is actually Jesus working on your behalf.  He still has it all under control if you have given it all to Him!

Hold on to your faith today.  Don’t limit or underestimate God!  Ask Him to move mightily in your situation and to reveal to you all that He has for you in what you are facing.  He does care and He wants what is best for you, but you must do your part and believe and have the faith you need for Him to work mightily in your life.  God doesn’t force even His best on us, we must believe and have faith in Him in all things!  Trust Him – the best is yet to come!
