Hold On To Your Hope Today

by | Apr 7, 2015

Psalm 42:5
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?  Hope in God; for I shall again praise him my salvation and my God.

“And it came to pass……”, whatever you are facing today that has you weighed down is not here to stay it will pass.  As the old saying goes, “your present situation is not your final one.”  So, keeping all of that in mind, hold onto God, trust Him to deliver you and provide all that you need.  Know that the God of all sees all that you are going through and He does care, He cares enough to keep track of your every tear  and He His plan is always to give you a hope and a future.
I don’t believe here that the psalmist was saying he wasn’t going to praise God until things got better I believe he was saying that he knew he would have victory over all that was causing him grief and that the day would come soon where his heart would feel like rejoicing and praising God.  Praise God where you are and you will be amazed at how you will change your outlook on your situation, I believe this is where the “sacrifice of praise” comes in that is mentioned in Hebrews 13:15.  Praise and do what is right first and the right feelings will eventually follow.  Honor God with your praise and watch Him as He moves in your life.  Change the way you think and you will often change the way you feel.
Hang onto the hope today that God isn’t finished with you and your situation and He is working even if you can’t see it.  God sees the whole picture and His love for you is beyond compare.  Don’t allow your circumstances to build a wall between you and God, put all of your Hope in God and praise Him for all He has done and all He is about to do in your life!
