Psalm 138:8
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
God will finish what He has started and all that He has planned if you will just follow Him! Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” If you are still here obviously God isn’t finished with you yet.
It can be frustrating during those times when you know there is something God is calling you to do and yet nothing is moving. There you sit, do-te-do-te-doo, twiddling your thumbs waiting and wondering if you have missed something somewhere, why doesn’t God seem to be moving you in this new direction if that is what you are supposed to be doing? It can be even more frustrating when you know you are called to “something” but God seems to be very quiet at the moment and you aren’t even sure what that “something” is that you are supposed to do. No matter what you are facing, know that God is working out the details and He will fulfill the purpose He has for you! Don’t mistake His silence as a lack of His caring or His lack of moving you forward as a lack of a plan. God always has a plan and He will move you forward in His time!
Hold on to His steadfast love and remain faithful in all that you are doing today. Don’t allow the things you are supposed to be doing right here, right now, no matter how small they may seem to you, to slack. Colossians 3:23, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.” No matter what it is you are doing today you can honor God in all that you have to do to with where you are! God’s first call on each of our lives is to love Him and serve Him in all that we do so others will see Him through us. There are no menial tasks when you are serving God. I would encourage you to serve Him with your whole heart where you are today and trust Him with what comes next!
