Colossians 1:27,  To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Somehow over the years, it seems this message has been lost, watered down, tossed aside, become unimportant, and often just used when it is convenient or seems to “fit” our audience.  We have the answer the world is desperately seeking and yet we seem to be afraid to let them know.  We have become conditioned to keep our mouths closed and yet we are the ones with the “Good News”! We should be sharing it more, not less! We should be excited to let the world know that there is hope for all that they face and it is found in Him.

If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior then His Spirit dwells in you!  That should make a huge difference, not only in your life but in the lives of everyone around you!  I think we have learned to allow the world to “box Him in” even in our lives by expecting Christians to just be quiet and not oppose what is going on. We seriously do them a disservice when we don’t show them the way. They are looking for answers that God has given us in His Word.  Satan is very sly, making wrong seem right, making people think that somehow they “deserve” something no matter what it may cost not only them but everyone around them.  Satan doesn’t rush in boldly most of the time, it is one little step at a time until he has you sliding down that slope at breakneck speed, all on your own. Lately, I seem to hear people saying, “You do you…” with the mindset that it is ok if everyone just does what they deem right and that is just not true. Sin is sin and it affects everyone around it. Remember that the Gospel is GOOD NEWS! We should be excited to share His Story and His love with everyone around us!

God has given us His Word!  He has laid out for us what is right and what is wrong.  He has laid out the fact that He has a plan for your life, but He will not force it on you, He has given you a choice.  Why are things so messed up in the world?  Because people make the wrong choices.  We are supposed to live lives that will show them that there is a better way.  We need to be the difference in the world!  We are called to be His hands and feet. We are called to be a voice of Godly wisdom and His love and grace.  We need to stand for what is right!  Remember Ephesians 6:12 ~ It is the other person you are “fighting” It is satan and the evil he and his demons bring.  Those people have no idea how lost they are and that satan is trying to destroy them.  They need Jesus and we are called to share Him with the world!  

Jesus is our hope!  He loves you more than words can say and He wants to make a difference in your life.  Seek Him with your whole heart!  Don’t settle for where you are today.  Take a look around you ~ how many people are lost?  Who can you show the love of Christ to?  How can they know that His spirit lives in you and He is their hope?  Ask Him to show you today what may need to change in order for you to be all He created you to be and then go after that with all of your heart!  Make the BEST choices and see what difference it makes in your life and the lives of those you love!
