Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith! We all want more faith so the other day I asked God just exactly how are we able to have more faith? I played over in my mind all the times I would desperately “believe” for my answer to be there and ‘run to the mailbox’ and there’s nothing, or I would work up “faith” in my mind to the point I could feel that I believed with every part of my being and …… nothing! So, I asked…… “what’s up with that?” How can I have faith, if I can’t seem to believe enough to get an answer! Are you there God? Do you really care? What am I missing? Well that was the question He was waiting for! What am I missing? He knows I know the answer to …. are you there and do you care! Hello! Of course He is there and He cares more than we can comprehend! Well, here’s the answer I got:

Faith begins with trust! Do you trust Him? Really? Do you trust Him with your finances? If you said yes to that then do you tithe or do you feel as though you just can’t afford to tithe? Hmmmmmm….. how about the verse that says in Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Trust Him with it!

How about your marriage? Do you feel if everything doesn’t quite turn out how you had planned you will never be able to live with it? How do you pray when you pray for your spouse? Do you believe that God will see you through regardless of how things turn out? If that spouse is willing for God to work in their life, anything is possible so pray for God to give them a willing heart and allow God to work in His way and His timing. Know that if somehow it doesn’t work God will still see you through and give you the strength you need to be all you can be for Him. If you are in an abusive situation, pray for God’s deliverance and allow Him to show that to you! God loves you and wants His best for you! Trust God with your children as well! The best gift you can give your children is your prayer to God for them! Don’t ever give up on them, God hasn’t!

The list could go on and on from finances, marriage to your job, your health, no matter what it is that you need an answer for today, God is asking you to trust Him. Give it all to Him! Be obedient in all He asks. Spend more time in His word, getting to know Him better! Spend time praising Him for who He is and watch as your faith grows in His presence! Know that He loves you and He truly wants His best for you so trust Him today knowing that the best is yet to come!

Thank you for your words of encouragement today. Lately, I have felt so overwhelmed with circumstances of life. My son is and has been in a custody battle for four years. I only want peace and fairness for his situation. At times I feel so hopeless. I pray, and nothing. It only seems to get worse, and seems as though everything is going in the others’ favor. I do love the Lord, but I’m weakened by this battle. Thank You for reminding me that my faith and hope are in Jesus. Taft He sees and He cares.

How timely, I am in a marriage that has been abusive and I deal with constant neglect. Today it feels I am losing my identity. My son is wayward, my spouse unbelieving. Tomorrow I am to speak at church, why is it today that the world crashes. I am overwhlemed but faithful. Strangely calm and exhausted at the same time. I have zero control yet I am free. Thank you for this, you helped me beyond what words can explain. Much love.
