How Important Is It To You To Be Beautiful?

Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being beautiful and taking care of yourself, in fact taking care of yourself should be a priority, but true beauty comes from within! I have seen some gorgeous women who were as wicked as the day is long and let me tell you, their wickedness made them ugly. What is inside always overrides what we see on the outside. True beauty comes from within and it comes from a heart that is led by God.

The more you get to know Him by spending time in your Bible and listening to and reading studies about Him the more you will “look like Him”.

If you want to be successful in all you do whether it is raising a family, or a professional career, whatever it may be, you need to be in God’s Word! Joshua 1:8 gives us a recipe for success: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Success comes from the Lord no matter what you are doing in life. If you have found His will for you, then your success will be found in truly becoming more like Him and serving Him in all that you do. So often people think that means you have to be in some sort of ministry but that isn’t the case, God may have called you to be a stay at home Mom, or He has given you the desire for a career, Whatever He has called you to do, serve Him in it, that is your ministry! so how important is it to you to be beautiful? Are you willing to spend more time with Him to achieve true beauty?

Do you feel fulfilled in what you are doing or do you feel as though something is missing? Maybe it is time to find a way to serve in your church or community in a way that will lead others to God. True fulfillment is really found in finding what God has for you to do and doing it, sounds rather simple and yet these things often take sacrificing some of your time or money to do. We are all called to serve God in one way or another, we should reflect who He is in all that we do, that is where the beauty comes from, fearing (respecting who He is) Him and allowing all that He is to shine through us in our words, service and our actions toward others.

Don’t allow Satan to hold you back! Be all you can be today! Take some time to pamper yourself today whether it is locking yourself in the bathroom for a bubble bath away from the rest of the house or going to get a pedicure. Do something just for you today to make you feel beautiful on the outside and then take some time to be alone with God to create that beautiful you on the inside as well! If you haven’t recognized who you are in Him yet I would encourage you to spend time with God in His word so He can show you how beautiful He created you to be. God loves you and He made you beautiful and unique with the talent inside to do all He has called you to!
