1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

If you truly allow God to fill your life to the point that all of these other things are evident in your life and yet you seem to be lacking the love of God, you took a wrong turn somewhere.  When all of your gifts from God become about you instead of Him, you lack love.  Unfortunately, I have seen men and women of God who have gone from being focused on Him in their ministry to being focused on how great they thought they were instead.    There’s nothing more encouraging than to meet men and women of God in ministry who are focused on Him and there’s so much of Him in their lives that His love for people just oozes out of them!

Don’t lose your focus!  Whether you are on a mountaintop or in the valley, rich or poor, struggling or set free, keep your eyes on Him!  Don’t seek Him for the attention it will bring to you, seek Him so others are drawn to Him!  No matter what you are doing, at work, at home, at the grocery store, driving, the list could go on and on, you will have opportunities to show some love to those around you ~ will you take the time today? Be His hands and feet to those you come in contact with today!

Life on this earth is short in light of eternity; how many lives will you touch with the love of God?  Is it really all that fulfilling to act pompous, like you have somehow arrived?  Something that is truly fulfilling is to see the effect that God’s love has on others when you see it in action!  What is your passion and how can you use that to show the love of God to others?

What can you do today to show the love of God to someone else?  I tell you what, there are a couple of friends of mine (Jo and Christa) who have been “through the fire” over the last 10 years, satan has tried to take them out and they have turned it into a way to serve God.  They are such a tremendous testimony to the people they deal with within the medical field and when they are laid up after physical therapy or other medical treatments they spend their time praying!  Wow!  What a blessing and how humbling that was to me!  How much “downtime” do we waste?  I don’t usually have much downtime, but when I do, do I spend it in a profitable way, not just for me, but for others?  You don’t have to spend money in order to show the love of God.  Ask God today to fill you with His love and to show you how you can be used by Him to show that love to others!  His best is yet to come when you are walking with Him!
