How To Find Your Hope When You Don’t Know What To Do

by | Feb 27, 2013

2 Chronicles 20:12b  “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

Where do you turn when you don’t know what to do?  Who do you ask for advice?  When you are facing overwhelming odds do you look for someone else for the answer or do you truly set your eyes on God?  If we know that God has all of the answers then why do we look elsewhere?

Verse 15 in this chapter says: “Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.”  I don’t know what you are facing today but God does and He says the battle is His so let go!  Give it all to Him and trust Him to take care of it!  Keep your eyes on Him, don’t let them wander looking for the quick fix.

When you don’t know what to do remember He does!  God sees the whole picture and He has a plan – the best plan ever!  When you are at the end of yourself you are really in the best position you can be in!  God loves you and cares about all that you are facing.  Keep your eyes on Him!

Verse 20:And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed.”   Do you feel as though you are in the “wilderness”?  Let me encourage you to believe that God is telling you that the battle is His – trust Him to do what is best for you and you will be established!  He cares more about your future than you do yourself.

Verse 22:  “And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.”  Don’t wait, start praising God now for His goodness and answers for your situation!  He knows the plans He has for you, plans to give you a hope and a future!  Praise HIm for it and watch Him move in your life!  Trust Him today and keep your eyes on Him!

Quote:  “Faith is taking the first step when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
