If You Aren’t Always Sure What He’s Doing In Your Life, Why do You Judge What He’s Doing in Hers

Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

It can be difficult at times to understand what God is doing in your life when you can’t really see the big picture or when you are going through the fire. So on that note: if you can’t always figure out what God is doing in your own life, why do you judge someone else for what they are facing? God has a reason for why He tells each of us to handle situations thrown at us in life in different ways. There isn’t just one way to handle things and only God knows what we are capable of handling or what the outcome of each situation will be based on her following exactly what He is telling her to do.

We can all be so full of advice, and that isn’t always bad, but we must make sure that our advice is from God. God’s ways aren’t our ways and we certainly don’t want to get in the way of His ways by trying to get someone else to do what we think is best. God is the only one who knows what each of us is capable of handling, so don’t judge other people because He is leading them down a different path than the one He has led you on. If someone else is doing their best to handle a particular situation in a godly direction that they believe He is leading them in, then they should have your support, not your judgment. We are called, not only to follow God in our own lives but to also support each other as well. Don’t allow satan to use you to be one more heartache or hindrance in her life! Jobs friends were classic examples of that and I am sure you don’t want to join that group!

If you are the one that is being judged for how you are handling something and yet you know you are following God with all your heart in it then don’t be moved by someone else’s opinion and judgment.  Trust God and continue to follow Him, no one else’s opinion matters!

Ask God today to give you the wisdom to know when to give advice, when to just listen and when to just support others. God isn’t always going to reveal His plan for someone else to you any more than He will reveal His plan for your life to everyone else. Trust Him, follow Him and ask Him to lead you to be the support those around you need so they can be all He created them to be as well!

    Dear Janet,
Sooooo good… I’d just finished a conversation with my mother – telling her how much she needed to accept invitations from friends to get out and have fun… And, she politely told me that she wasn’t interested right now. Then, I read today’s message… thank you, I needed to hear it 🙂 (and, I’m sure my mom thanks you)
    Blessings
