Hebrews 11:1,  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

As you read this entire chapter you get a sense of what these pillars of faith lives were all about.  When God said something, they just believed it and followed what He said.  Take Noah for example, He had NEVER seen rain.  It hadn’t rained on the earth so it wasn’t like it was something he had heard of but didn’t live in an area where it happened.  It was unheard of.  God told him that he needed to build an ark because he was going to flood the earth, it was going to rain, and Noah believed God and followed God’s directions to a T.  Can you imagine the ridicule, the names he was called, the horrible things said to him and about him and to his family about him and yet he just kept building regardless because He believed God.  Life couldn’t have been easy for all the years it took to build the ark, but Noah was faithful to what God told him to do regardless.  

How’s your faith today?  Have you lost all hope or are you clinging to His Word and believing that even though you can’t see it, you know God does not lie and He is faithful to what He says?  Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”  God wants you to take Him at His word.  I know how difficult it can be when the whole world has something different to say, but you need to choose to believe Him.  When you are having a difficult time ask Him to remove your unbelief and to help you cling to Him and His Word no matter what things look like.  Are you diligently seeking God?  He has promised to reward those who truly seek Him and His direction for their life.  As you seek Him, your trust will grow because you will come to know Him and His character.  Oh how much He loves you!  I love the song, “Waymaker” because that is Who He is but in order to see that you must diligently seek Him and know Him.  The world is full of lies from Hell and satan is going to do all he can to put a wall up between you and God because He is not wanting to see what all you could accomplish if you throw yourself into your relationship with God and allow God to do a mighty work in your life.  Satan is a jerk and his desire is to keep you from all God has planned for you to do and accomplish so he is going to throw every distraction, temptation, and discouragement he can your way to try to stop you.  Choose faith today!  Every single day it is your choice which one you will choose.  Will you feed your faith by diligently seeking the one who loves you?  Don’t allow satan to rob you of what God would like to do through you for one more day.  Life can be scary but God has promised to walk with you through it, but you must seek His face and choose daily as these men and women did in this chapter the faith that God will always do what is right and best!  He has a plan!  Not just the big picture plan, a plan for you!  Yes, your piece to that puzzle matters.  Don’t minimize what God has for you to do.  Ask Him to show you all of the potential and gifts He put inside of you to accomplish all that He created you to accomplish.  Life is short here, what sort of difference can you make in this world, not only in your life, but the lives of those you love, and those you come in contact with?  God is looking for Christians who will get bold in their faith in Him and all He has to say.  It’s not an easy road because when you choose to follow Him with your whole heart you will find that all hell will want to come against you, but you can do it.  If you will just commit to clinging to the One who loves you and continue to take Him at His Word He will guide you through and you will see His plan.  It is a choice to trust Him and it is a choice to follow Him, He’s asking, “whom will you choose today?”
