Isaiah 35: 3-4
Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”
We all have the desire to be able to look forward to our futures with hope and the anticipation of things getting better! Whether it is the New Year, or a new job or a new move, or maybe a new relationship, no matter what it is we press forward with the hope that it will be better! Maybe you have been through so much lately that, that is all you have to cling to ~ ‘it has to get better from here!’
Well, know this as you push forward; God doesn’t want your heart to be anxious, He wants to give you the strength and confidence you need for tomorrow, knowing that He will come through for you and He will save you. God loves you and He wants you to be able to be all He created you to be. He isn’t going to leave you out here on your own! He still has a plan! Don’t look to be rescued somewhere else. Don’t look for your answers in something or someone other than Him. Focus on God and allow Him to bring it all together!
Don’t let the past discourage you! Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 says, Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters, “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” Leave the past in the past, and trust that He will make a path where there isn’t one and He will give you the strength to follow Him and to accomplish all you are called to accomplish! Today is a new day, a new beginning, a fresh start! Grab hold of His promises today and trust Him with your whole heart that He will come through! The best is yet to come!

I needed to read this today. I have been battling depression and a sense of hopelessness for over 5 years. I am holding on with the faith of a mustard seed. I have to believe 2018 will be a year of healing.
