Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, To those who are the called according to His purpose.

So as you get ready for the holidays that are coming up I assume most of you will pull out your favorite recipes to make for family and friends.  You will start buying all of the ingredients you will need, I have noticed that our grocery store has even started making displays where you can find everything you need for certain things, for instance, pumpkin pie or the stuffing or green bean casserole.  Let me ask you this; have you ever started to make one of those favorite recipes and realized that you were missing an ingredient?  Do you just plug on and make it without the ingredient or do you send someone to the store to get it?

My point is this; you cannot take this one thing that is going on in your life and say, “but the Bible says that all things work together for good and this has no value!”  All things mean just that, all things.  Just like your pumpkin pie isn’t going to turn out without the right spices, pumpkin, etc., God has a plan for everything that comes your way – He will use it all to bring about His plan.  He will make sure that all of those life experiences work together for good in your life.  This one thing may not make sense, but in the big picture of life, one day it will.

For a season you may be struggling with something and you cannot see any good right now for the life of you, but don’t lose heart God is working and He will use all of this to bring about His good for your life!  It is His purpose we are to achieve, not ours so things don’t always seem the way we think they should but we need to wholeheartedly trust Him today to do all things for our good!  Hold fast to His promises and trust Him to bring about all that He has planned for you to accomplish in and for Him!  The best is yet to come!
