Ezekiel 1:26-28, Above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne that looked like a sapphire stone. On the throne was what appeared to be a man, high above it. Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around. Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the radiance around Him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of someone speaking.
If you read the entire chapter, the vision Ezekiel had was amazing, and when he saw the Lord in all of His glory, he dropped to his face on the ground. This morning, as I was reading this, the description “This brilliance around Him looked like a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day” just warmed my heart. That is truly one of the great things about our Lord ~ Out of all of His magnificence, power, holiness, and never-ending attributes, His presence to us is also like a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day!
Whatever life may throw at you today, no matter how vicious that storm is raging around you, He is there like a rainbow in the clouds! Satan has done his best to turn the rainbow into something opposite of what God intended, but God is still the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Look for Him in your storm, cling to Him, and dig into His Word so you can know Him more. Don’t miss any opportunity, whether you are on that mountaintop right now looking for that rainbow in those clouds in the distance, or you are in the middle of a raging storm, seek Him!
There’s a lot going on in the world. While the craziness is beyond our comprehension, our God is way beyond our comprehension, and He is still sitting on His throne! He holds the world in His hands. It is ugly out there, so cling to Him and get to know Him because the more you know, the more you will trust and have faith to know that nothing takes Him by surprise and He is faithful. The Bible tells us things will get ugly, but instead of focusing on all of that, we need to be focused on what He is asking us to do! There are people who are lost and have no idea where to turn for answers ~ Pray for God to show you how to reach those around you and for the boldness to speak up. Live a life that draws others to Him. Focus on Him and He will guide you in every other area in life, so you can see that in Him, truly His best is yet to come!
