It’s a New Year and a New Day!

by | Jan 1, 2019

2 Corinthians 5:17.   “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Welcome to 2019!  I am always excited about new beginnings right down to spring cleaning!  There is something so refreshing about the feeling of a fresh start.  Today is a new day with no mistakes in it yet!  That is the way it is when we accept Christ as our own personal Savior!  Our sins are forgiven and have been erased from the slate of our lives.  As it says in the song by Casting Crowns “East to West” when he says, “Jesus can you show me just how far the East is from the West …… One scarred hand to the other.”  Those are such powerful words to remind us that Jesus has paid the price to give us a new beginning.

If you have not had the New Beginning with Christ that would be the place to start this 1st day of the New Year all you need to do is confess that you have sinned to God because we all have, ask him to forgive you and to be the leader of your life and to help you with your new beginning to know the direction He has for your life.  And then as the verse says you are a New Creation, the old is gone and the new is here!  Find some godly people to walk with!  Get in a good Bible believing church and seek God with every fiber of your being so you can walk through life with Him!  He is so amazing!

If you have already accepted Christ then I would encourage you to make sure you are not allowing Satan to hold you hostage on any level!  He loves to make you feel inferior or too busy or one of his favorites is to take something from your past and try to throw it in your face and tell you that you are unworthy to serve. There’s an old saying that I love, “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.”  In other words, if He has called you to something, He will give you all you need or already has given you all you need to do it!  Fix your eyes on Him and nothing else, and 2019 will be more successful than you could have ever imagined.  Another good song to encourage you in is “Fix My Eyes” by For King and Country,https://youtu.be/_ej9T4bTAGI great lyrics.

If 2018 was filled with heartache and overwhelming struggle, praise God that this is a New Year!  Go boldly to His throne and ask Him for His blessing and favor on you and your loved ones in this New Year!  Ask Him to show Himself mighty in your life!  Ask Him to do such a mighty work in your life this year so others will be drawn to Him!  Pursue Him like never before!

I encourage you to seize the day and determine to make this a year of success on every level starting with your spiritual life!  Pour yourself into getting to know Him more in this year!  See Him with your whole heart!

Remember this as well; you don’t have to wait for a new year to have a new beginning in Christ, He is in the business of making all things new every day!

Quote:  “True grit is making a decision and standing by it, doing what must be done.”  John Wayne

Wow Pam! I am so sorry you are facing all of this! It sounds as though satan has come after you with a vengeance, but I am believing that God will do great things in and through you and your family! Clearly, satan is concerned about what you may accomplish so he is trying to hold you back! I am praying for breakthroughs and God’s leading. I will also be praying for your son. God has promised that His word will not return void and if you have taught your son truth, he is bound to remember it and turn back to God. I will be praying and believing that God will move in a great way in your life! Please keep in touch! God Bless, Janet Scott
