Know Your Rock!

Isaiah 26:4. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

Have you ever heard of a “Leavarite Rock”?  I hadn’t either until my brother-in-law John had introduced me to them when I was a teenager.  He’s a Science teacher so of course, he knows rocks and one day we saw this huge rock and he said, “do you know what kind of rock that is?”  I said, “no,” of course and he said, “it’s a leavarite rock!  It’s so big we are going to leavarite there!”  YUP!  That’s John!  I may never remember any other type of rock, but I always recognize those.  That’s our God!  He is so big and so mighty and He is an everlasting rock!  No matter where you turn He is still right there and nothing and no one can move Him out of your life!  He loves you and He is mighty to save!  He is your rock and your salvation.  He sees everything you are facing and He isn’t going anywhere!

If you are facing some sort of giant in your life, you can know that your God is bigger!  Nothing is too difficult for Him!  If He has called you to it, He will supply everything you need to fulfill what He has called you to!  You can trust Him, He is an unmovable force in your life if you will draw close to Him.  If you are in the middle of some huge storm in your life you can know that not even that storm can keep you from all that God has for you and all He has called you to.  He will work things out for good and for His purpose and glory! Dredge up whatever faith you can muster and then ask Him for any faith you may be lacking, and trust Him with the end result.  It’s tough when you can’t see the ending from where you are!  It’s overwhelming at times when you know the majority of the battles are things you can’t even see, but your God is bigger and He loves you!  Nothing is too difficult for our God!  His desire is for you to be all He created you to be so you can know that He is on your side and even when things look all wrong, He will make them right.  Trust Him and know that His best is yet to come!
