Psalm 73:25-26 “Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
You don’t ever have to feel alone! God is by your side and will be your strength through the good the bad and the ugly! God’s love is never failing and He will carry you through these days of turmoil.
Instead of feeling as though you are all alone in the world and feeling bad for yourself, take the time today to make your only desire God. Spend extra time in His word and turn on some praise music. Surround yourself with godly positive people, look for God’s promises in His word, ask Him for a verse today for your situation and know that He is your strength and His love surrounds you no matter what you are facing today! Now when I say, “ask Him for a verse” I am talking about reading your Bible and asking Him to give you something from it. We have all tried the “Bible Bingo thing” opening our Bibles and pointing to a verse and expecting it to be from God, but I have found that it’s more effective to read it! My daughter tried to convince me one day that she should get another dog and I believe at the time we already had 2 dogs and a cat. When I said no she decided to use “Bible Bingo” and the verse she pointed to said something to the effect, “your house will be a house full of dung”, I am believing at that time it was from the Lord!
I have had my share of days when I have felt as though I just can’t wait another day for an answer from God and I have learned that those are the days I really need to do my best to rest in His strength knowing that He always has the heart to do what is best for me. It is never easy to wait and I have been frustrated and discouraged on some days waiting, but it doesn’t change God’s timing or answers. I have wasted too much energy on those days instead of just giving it to God and allowing Him to work while I do what I can and trust Him to do the rest.
Remember today that you are not alone, God loves you and will strengthen you and will bring this situation to pass. He has a plan and He sees the big picture so trust Him to do what is right.
