Matthew 17:20. He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
What mountains are you facing today? Are there things that you are facing financially or in your relationships, your health or maybe your walk with Christ that seem impossible to overcome? Do you truly believe this verse? Nothing is impossible for you if you just believe and you are walking in the will of God. In this verse Jesus was talking to the disciples about why they couldn’t cast out demons that He could and He was explaining that it was their lack of faith. Where are you lacking in faith? I know my weakest faith moments often come with our finances, maybe that is why we keep facing the same issues over and over – God is trying to increase my faith!
The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” If we want God to move on our behalf then it is imperative that we choose to believe that He is stronger and bigger than whatever mountain is in our way! God is able and willing to deliver so we need to believe and have the faith necessary to move that mountain. We all know that a mustard seed is the tiniest seed so God is not asking for a mountain of faith to move a tiny seed He is asking for a tiny amount of faith to move that huge mountain in our lives.
Ask God today for the faith you need and the wisdom to know if there is anything else that you need to recognize that is holding you back from moving that mountain in your life. God’s desire is for you to have victory in your life on every level, He is ready and willing to help you overcome your mountains today! Let’s all move forward into the new Year asking God to increase our faith in every area of our lives!

Please, pray for Russ Birkett he is on the edge of death, on a ventilator and in a coma! He is my daughter’s fiancé and is not a believer, although before he lost consciousness he was calling out to God! Our daughter is a recovering addict and he has been her rock, a good man who loves her unconditionally and he loves her children and they love him. I shutter to think what may happen to our daughter if he doesn’t make it. I’m praying that him being healed would be testament to his entire family and so many others and bring our daughter back to following Christ 🙏🏻
