Galatians 6:7-8
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

What is it that you most long for today? What desire will you feed? We all have desires, usually multiple desires and they are not all wrong. We should have desires and dreams for our lives and the lives of those we love! We should strive to be successful in all that we do and do our best to accomplish all that God puts before us, no matter what it is!

The question is this: Are the desires you have godly desires or are they selfish, ungodly desires? Are you seeking the will of God in all that you are striving for? Are you seeking His face in your struggles and storms? Do you have a desire to get to know Him better, not just seeking Him when you “need Him”?

He wants a relationship with you! He loves you and desires for you to get to know Him better! He wants to walk through life with you and be there in everything you face! Life is difficult at times and there’s no one better to have by your side than the Lord, anyone else who comes along is icing on the cake, but shouldn’t take the place of your walk with God!

Is there an addiction you have, that you are struggling with, sex, drugs, shopping, gossip, control? He wants to free you from that, but you will only find that freedom as you walk with Him and seek Him. It only makes sense that if you want to get rid of ungodly desires that you have to spend more time with Him and open up more of your life to Him and His will for your life! You need to surround yourself with godly people, look for a mentor or Life Coach. Go to church on Sunday and read your Bible every day! Ask God to help you grow in Him, He will help you!

Remember this little Cherokee Legend:
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life ~ “A fight is going on inside me, “ he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil ~ he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good ~ he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you ~ and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

So, which desire will you feed today and every other day when you get up? The one that will draw you closer to God or the fleshly desire that will draw you away from Him?
Choose Him, knowing that then you can fully believe that the best is yet to come!
