Genesis 18:12-14, So Sarah laughed to herself thinking, “I am old, and so is my lord; am I to have pleasure again?” Adonai said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and ask, ‘Am I really going to bear a child when I am so old?’ Is anything too hard for Adonai? At the time set for it, at this season next year, I will return to you; and Sarah will have a son.”
Nothing is too difficult for God! We all say that and we know it in our heads, but do you really believe in your heart that nothing is too difficult for Him? There are naysayers out there everywhere you turn, but what God wants to do through you doesn’t depend on them, it doesn’t depend on your age, it doesn’t depend on your money or lack thereof, it doesn’t depend on anything other than Him and your “yes” to Him being on that table! Typically when you are trying to learn something from someone else, they will ask you how “coachable” you are. In other words, will you do things the way they tell you to and when they tell you to so you aren’t wasting their time? Make sure to do exactly that if God has put someone in your life to help train and guide you in what He is calling you to! God will bring the right people into your life to help you accomplish what He calls you to, but if you don’t listen and follow then you will miss out. God wants you to be “coachable” in your walk with Him as well. Are you willing to do what He puts in front of you even when maybe it doesn’t seem to make sense at the time? Believe me, He has led me through some things and I have had some jobs that I wondered, “why”, but every bit of it had its purpose.
Don’t allow anyone to tell you that you cannot do something that you know God has put in front of you to do. I saw a meme recently that said, “when someone tells you that you can’t do something, do it twice and take pictures.” That fits when God is telling you, “I have this for you to do” and someone is trying to discourage you or maybe you are feeling unqualified or maybe things aren’t moving as fast or in the direction you thought they would, trust Him. Trust Him to do something great in and through you. Leave the results to Him. Do exactly what He tells you to do. Don’t get lost in becoming someone else, He created you the way He did and when He did for a reason. Trust Him to do what only He can do. Leave all of the results to God in every area of your life if you are following Him. He is God! You don’t have to be a frantic mess, you just need to do as He says and follow Him and allow Him to do what only He can.
Pray! Are you spending time in prayer over all that you feel God is calling you to? Don’t get worked up feeling as though it is all up to you. God is on His throne. Make sure you are allowing Him to guide you above all else and everyone else. Make sure you are creating balance in your schedule so you don’t give satan a foothold because you have lost your focus on God. Take the time to schedule your prayer time and your time alone with God. Nothing is more important than your time with Him so don’t allow it to take a backseat to anything else. God loves you and He has a plan for your life. He wants to use your story and He wants to shine through you so others will be drawn to Him.
Whatever you may be facing today, especially those things that may seem impossible to you or those around you, take it to Him and trust Him to do what He sees fit. Know that He is God, keep Him first place in your life and then you will see that truly His best is yet to come!
