Psalm 5:11-12 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor you will surround him as with a shield.
You don’t have to wait for your answer to get here; start rejoicing now! I have learned that in most cases our faith grows as we speak it and as we rejoice in the God who can pour out His favor on our lives. When you pray and ask God and you know you are asking within His will then praise Him for His answer and favor before you get it. Until God tells you no and you need to be open to His answer because if His answer is no it is because He has a better plan that you don’t know about yet, but until He says no have the faith and confidence that His answer is on the way. Get excited!
You know I am by no means a “name it and claim it” type of person, but there are times when you are praying and you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are praying within His will then you should be praising God for His answer! “I thank you Lord that my children will come to know you as their Savior and that they will serve you with their lives!” “I thank you Lord for the victory I have over my addictions!” “I thank you Lord that if it is your will and it will bring you glory that you will heal……” I am NOT saying, “I thank you Lord for the Mercedes that will be parked in the driveway miraculously for me after breakfast.” Of course I am also not saying God can’t provide you with a car or house or spouse – it is His desire to bless you, but you understand what I am saying.
The key is this; God deserves our praise everyday just because of who He is! We can have a joy filled day just because of who He is and the fact that He loves us so much! Whatever it is you are praying for today or struggling with take comfort today and rest in who He is, praise Him because you can trust in Him! He will do what is right in this situation and He will surround you with His favor through it! Let Him wrap His arms around you and love on you as you rejoice and rest in Him whatever you may be facing today.
