Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
When you have days that leave you feeling defeated cling to the fact that you can “Rejoice in the Lord!” Praise God He is still on the throne! Praise God ~ He sees, He cares and He wants you to persevere in spite of it all. Cling to Him and He will give you the wisdom and strength you need to get through another day! He will give you what you need to be all He created you to be, so while the storms rage around you just stick close to Him!
The Bible says that while we live here on this earth we will have many troubles but we are called to stand in spite of it all and be who we are called to be. God will not forsake you! He loves you and He is working even when you can’t see it. Keep praying! Stay faithful in spite of how dismal things may seem. Don’t give up and certainly don’t give in. So often when things look hopeless satan wants to step in and make you feel as though you may as well give up and do things your own way, but just exactly how will that help your situation? Has going your own way ever really benefitted your situation? We also have all of eternity to think about. How will what you do today affect your eternity? We need to walk as closely to God as humanly possible and then rely on His Spirit to make up the difference. We should constantly be praising God for who He is! We should rejoice in the fact that we have hope that is only found in Him!
If you are struggling today and just can’t find the words to “Rejoice” turn on some praise and worship music, pour out your heart to God and ask Him to fill you and your day with His presence. We have the hope and answers that the world needs so we must not live lives that appear hopeless we must be the light by rejoicing in the fact that we serve the one and only true God. He loves, He sees and He cares and He has a plan that can only be found by seeking Him: Jeremiah 29: 11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” I would like to encourage you today to seek Him with your whole heart and rejoice in Him, knowing that truly His best is yet to come!
