Praise Will Change Your Life

Psalm 150: 1-6,

Praise the Lord.

Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty heavens.

Praise Him for His acts of power; Praise Him for His surpassing greatness.

Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, Praise Him with the harp and lyre,

Praise Him with timbrel and dancing, Praise Him with the strings and pipe,

Praise Him with the clash of cymbals. Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. ~Praise the Lord.

No matter where you are in life today, praising God needs to be a part of your day.  Let’s face it, the world is a crazy place and we really need Him every minute of every day.  If you want His peace and hope in the midst of everything, praising Him is the place to start.  If you want to become all He created you to be, then praise is the place to start.  Praise reminds us of who He is and it will grow your faith in Him as well.

We know that God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever so take some time to read some Psalms and turn on some praise and worship music. Spend time in His Word and in prayer.  Don’t miss out on quality, intentional time with Him.   What music is played in your home?  Do you control what music is being played or is it a free for all?  I understand that there are mainstream songs out there that are good and it’s ok to listen to them, but there needs a balance, there needs to be time during your day to just praise God.  Praise draws you into the presence of God.  Praise should be a natural thing for a Christian.  Praise should constantly be on our lips and if it isn’t then we need to ask God to give us a heart of praise.

God loves you so much and He wants you to be aware of Him all throughout your life and each and every day.  Honor Him with your praise and watch as your attitude changes and the difference that makes all throughout your day.  If you need a song to start with listen to “WayMaker” by Darlene Zschech and William McDowell or “What A Beautiful Name” by Hillsong or sing old Hymns, just start somewhere.  Pray for God to give you a clean heart and a right spirit and for Him to fill you with His confidence, hope, and love.

I cannot encourage you enough to make sure that praise fills your heart and life and for you to welcome Him into every area of your life so you can be all He created you to be.
