“Prayer Is A Path Where There Is None” ~ N.benShea

2 Corinthians 1:11,  “And you must add your help by praying for us, for the more people there are praying, the more people there will be to give thanks when their prayer for us is answered.”

When you find yourself asking why God would answer your prayer, or if something is too little to pray for, or maybe you are struggling with feeling as though you are burdening others by asking them to pray, think of this verse.  When we pray and God answers it gives us another reason to thank and praise God.  This verse is saying that by asking more people to pray you are giving more people the opportunity to praise and thank God when your answer comes!  It gives God glory and praise and we should always look for more things to be thankful for and to praise Him for!  When you are given the opportunity to pray for someone else, don’t just say you are praying ~ PRAY!  Pounce on that opportunity to pray and to thank God for all you see Him doing, not only in your life but in the lives of those around you.

I see God leading more people into the ministry of leading prayer groups, online and in their churches and other places, and when I read these verses this morning, it made me realize that He is giving us more opportunities to see Him work and to praise Him for it.  There’s so much darkness all around us and God wants to shine through all of that.  Don’t miss out, take your prayer time seriously!

Verse twenty of this chapter says, “For however many promises God has made, they all find their “Yes” in connection with Him (Jesus); that is why it is through Him that we say the “Amen” when we give glory to God.”  It is only because of Jesus that we can have our “Yes” with God the Father.  It is because of what He has done, not what we have done, that we can pray in confidence that God will always do what is best and right when we pray.  That is also why there are times when we get an answer that may not make sense at the moment, or is different than what we were expecting. It is because He has a plan and He understands what we don’t and He sees what we can’t, so we are called to trust that because of Jesus, God is working and HIs answer is always best and He will fulfill all He has promised you, in His timing.

Seek God’s face!  Pray about it!  Get others to pray about it.  Praise Him when your answer comes, even when it’s not quite what you were expecting.  Look for things to thank God for in your life.  Learn to pray with boldness and faith in Jesus and God’s love for you!  Trust Him with it all!
