Prayer Requests!

by | Oct 1, 2015

1 Samuel 12:23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you,

Let’s all pray for each other this week, here are some of the prayer requests I have received!

I am asking that you pray for my son. He is destroying his life with alcohol. When he drinks he’s destructive and has been in trouble with the law. He doesn’t see it as a problem and says ” everyone drinks” but everyone doesn’t have legal issues due to drinking. He is stubborn, and refuses to listen to anyone, even his counselor. I am on my knees praying daily. His father is an addict (I divorced him 14 years ago and he has very little communication with my son) however I know it’s in the genes. Please pray for abstaining, healing and peace in our family. Thank you !  A.

Please pray for me. I have a sharp tongue – especially with my husband. I’m so disrespectful of him at times. Please pray for me to guard my tongue and allow only words of blessing and those that edify God and others to proceed from my mouth.  S.

I’ve been following your daily devotional for about a month now. I thank you for your words of wisdom. I do need your prayers. I need to give both my boys up to the Lord. I need to let go and truly trust that God is watching over them. Not easy. You are right We as moms want all to fall into place for them. God bless and thank you in advance for your prayers.  M.

Reading Chocolate and God brought me to tears today. I too prayed when pregnant with my children giving them to God. My 24 year old son has always been very introverted – diagnosed with selective mutism at a young age but he seemed to be doing well even though he mainly kept to the family. Two years ago he had a very traumatic experience where he had a severe panic attack. We did not know what was happening – at first we thought asthma or heart. In the ER they diagnosed panic attack. He was telling us that in the midst of the attack he could see angels with swords in a circle around him as if protecting him. The ER doctor said he had to Baker Act him. This only made the attacks worse and made him think there was something wrong. Since then God has been faithful with staying close to both of us through his hospital stay, getting him to the right psychiatrist (which was not easy) and the right medication (which was a nightmare). He has now been panic attack free for almost a year but he is still not ready to completely join life outside his comfort zone. Please pray for his continued growth and that He stays close to God. Church is not a place he is comfortable going yet. Thank you for writing and listening to God’s directions. T

Remember:

Isaiah 40:31  “They who wait for the Lord, shall renew their strength: they will mount up with wings like eagles:  They will run and not be weary: they shall walk and not faint.”

Please remember to pray for Chocolate and God.  Pray that we will have more women join our community and that they will be empowered to serve the Lord!

God Bless,

Janet Scott

Thank you for the reminder of Isaiah 40:31 “They who wait for the Lord, shall renew their strength: they will mount up with wings like eagles: They will run and not be weary: they shall walk and not faint.” We are going through a long custody battle with my husbands ex wife and it is so hard. Hard to watch the kids cry because they have to go over there. Hard to be treated so badly, called names, disrespected almost daily. Please pray for us to stay strong and know that God has a plan for this.

I pray for Chocolate and God today. I pray for God to work amazing miracles through you. You are a blessing to me and I want to thank you for what you write.

I have to say that I have been reading Chocolate and God around a month now and I love it and today was a true blessing. They were the right words that I needed for what I’m going through.

I will love for you to pray for me. I need a lot of strength and peace.

Thank you and God Bless You!
