Raise Your Hallelujah and See…

Joshua 6: 4-5, “And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark.  But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.  It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat.  And the people shall go up every man straight before him.”

It was with great faith, obedience and a shout of praise and victory that God gave the city of Jericho over to the Israelites.

What are you contending for today?  Is there something you have been pouring your heart out to God for?  It may be personal, it may be for someone else or it may be for the crazy world we live in, but regardless of what it is, it weighs heavy on your heart.  It is time to bring our sacrifice of praise to God along with our petitions.  How much time have you spent outside of church worshipping the Lord?  Is there a song on your lips or do you have to dig to find one?  Well if you need to search, don’t beat yourself up, just find it and start today.  If we want things to change we need to have hearts that are continuously praising the only one who can bring about that change ~ our God!

Your faith will grow as you pour out praise to God.  It is impossible to praise Him and not have your faith moved to believe Him.  It is time to take Him at His word!  No more doubt.  When your faith waivers just pray and ask God to fill you with His faith and to remove any unbelief!

We are in a major spiritual battle.  Put on that armor of God found in Ephesians 6: 10-18, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints..”

Once you have prepared yourself, it is time to raise your praise as you go to Him.  I know we can’t just all sit around singing and praying all day, but we can continuously have a heart of worship and we can turn on praise music every chance we get.  If you are home then turn it up and spend some time just praising Him.  Allow who He is to just saturate your life.  We serve a mighty God and He deserves our praise every day!  Get intentional about praising Him until you have created a habit of Praise!  If you want to see God move, you will usually find Him moving in the Praise.  If you want to see those walls fall down then maybe it’s time to “Raise a Hallelujah” to the one who can do it.  You may not feel like turning on praise music but do it anyhow.  Don’t be turning on some sad song that will just drag you down, turn on praise and worship music and you will find it will lift you out of that pit.

I would love to encourage you today to join me on a journey of Praise and Prayer!  Go to our prayer board and pour out your prayer requests and pray for others while you are there.  Turn on some praise music and praise God every moment of the day.  Tell satan, “not today satan I don’t have time for you and your lies!”  God’s got you!  He sees, He cares and He is moving even when you don’t feel it or see it.  Trust Him today that truly His best is yet to come!

Quote:  “Worship is more than singing beautiful songs in church on a Sunday. It is more than instruments and music. As a true worshipper, your heart will long to worship Him at all times, in all ways, and with all your life.”  ~ Darlene Zschech
