Resolve To Allow God To Do A New Thing In Your Life in 2015

by | Dec 31, 2014

Isaiah 43:16,18-19
Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

The New Year always seems like a good time to claim a ‘new beginning’ a fresh start at life again! We often make resolutions to make changes in our lives and it gives us a sense of a new beginning or a more positive outlook on things to come in our lives. So what is it that you would like to accomplish in your life in this new year?  Have you asked God what He would like to accomplish in your life as well?

I would like to challenge each of us today to allow that ‘new beginning’ to be allowing God to do a New Thing in our lives. He is the God who made the path in the Sea for the Israelites and He is still the God who makes a way when there seems to be no way! He is still the God of miracles and the God who loves you and cares about all you have faced and all you will face. If there are things you feel you need to resolve to do this next year, then go ahead and make the resolution to do it but rely fully on God to help you accomplish all that you need to accomplish.

Maybe you have felt over the last few years as though you have been in the wilderness and you have lost hope of things ever changing in your circumstances; take God up on His promise to make a way in that wilderness and to sustain you as you plow through to the other side. God wants to show Himself mighty in you life, but He won’t force you to allow Him to. Ask Him today to show you any areas that you are holding back. Ask Him to give you the strength to give it all to Him and to allow Him to do that new thing in your life and to show Himself mighty in your life!

Make this year truly a new beginning and a fresh start by giving all you have to Him and trusting Him to get you through to the other side of it all. Allow Him to work in your life in such a way that in 2015 you truly grow to be all you can be for Him.

I have a list of plans and changes I want to make, read the bible beginning to end, pray more, walk more, pick up litter, eat right, so much I want to do, but today on the Last day of the 2014, please God I pray you give me the home to make all of that possible. Please God.
