Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might,

I would love to challenge you today to be different, set a higher standard for yourself than the world does! It seems as though finding quality service is harder and harder to find these days! People used to pride themselves on doing their best, caring about their reputation and now it seems as though it is difficult to find employees or customer service people who care about anything other than what they are being paid!

Dare to be different! Dare to stand out! Become that person or company that cares about doing the job right. Be a godly example in everything you do! Whether you are a janitor, house keeper, employee at a fast food restaurant or server in a restaurant, or you are the CEO of a company, pastor or pastor’s wife, bus driver, daycare provider, or maybe you lay hardwood floors ~ whatever you are, do your job to the best of your ability! Ask yourself the question my dad used to ask me, “would you be willing, at the end of the day, to sign your name on the job you just did for everyone to see?” Care about it!

I am amazed, once again, as we have work done on our home, how difficult it is to find people who just want to do the job right. I haven’t asked for anything other than for the job to be done right and yet that seems to be too much, that is crazy to me! Take pride in what you do and do it as though you are doing it for the Lord, Himself! How would you clean that house or teach that child, how would you serve that employer or how would you lead your employees if it were Jesus? Honor Him in all that you do! Be different! Do a job that you can hold your head high and be proud of. Don’t just settle for being good at covering up your mistakes, strive to do what you do right and to the best of your ability! You may be the only light those around you see! How you do your work does make a difference and it will say a lot about your character at the end of the day!
