Matthew 28:16 – 20,  Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  

We are still called to the “Great Commission” today and we are still called to obey everything He commanded them in that day.  The world needs Jesus!  People are trying desperately to find hope and answers and those answers and hope can only be found in the Word of God.  We must live lives that reflect that.  If how we live is no different than the rest of the World then why would they want what we have?  

Yes, He has promised to be with us always, Praise God!  That should drive us to strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him!  No, that doesn’t mean that you run around beating people over the head with a Bible, that means that you live a life that is pleasing to God.  We can’t just want His answers for our struggles in life, we must choose His answers for all that we do and say in order to have His peace and direction in our lives.  

Remember, Jeremiah 29:11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”    He loves you and has a plan for your life, but you must daily choose HIs way and His standard for your life.  Remember when He was talking with the disciples and He told them that He didn’t come to abolish the “Law” but to fulfill it and then He set a higher standard for them.  He didn’t say, ‘now you can live any way you choose because I am dying for your sin.’  He called them to live a life that reflected the Holy Spirit that would live in us when we accept Him as our Savior.  

More than you can possibly imagine God wants His plans for your life to be fulfilled.  That cannot happen if you are not following Him.  

Ask God today to show you anything you may need to add or remove from your life so you are walking closer with Him.  Don’t allow the world to set your standards for you and your family.  Make the best choices in all that you do.  Don’t give satan a tiny toe hold in your life.  Seek Him with all your heart.  Ask Him to show up mighty in your life so others will see the difference and desire a relationship with Him!

Truly His best is yet to come!
