Strive For The Rewards and Leave The Revenge To God

Colossians 3:22-25
Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.
It is much easier said than done at times to work as though you are doing everything for the Lord, but it is what we are called to do. There are times you may have horrific conditions or a cruel boss but you are still called to keep your testimony and serve as though it was Jesus you were serving and everything was wonderful. We are called to be different than the rest of the world, but does it show when you are at work? So often we ask God to give us the opportunity to serve Him and then we get a job and feel as though we are working in Sodom and Gomorrah and all we do is complain that we work there instead of seeing it as a mission field for God.

Don’t spend your time worrying about the people who want to be mean and hateful their day is coming and God will deal with them especially if they are Christians, do your part and serve God in whatever you are doing. Look at your circumstances as a stepping stone to something greater God has called you to and know that He is taking everything you are going through and everything you are learning to grow you to the point of promotion! Don’t get me wrong, God does not always approve of the circumstances you work or live in but if you allow Him to He will walk with you and grow you into a more godly woman because of it.

“The wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.” Hmmmmm, so in other words be careful as well if you are the leader, because if you are not treating your “servants” or people who are working with you with respect and if you aren’t treating them the way God has so clearly taught us to treat others then your day is coming. God is not a respecter of persons and He will not tolerate a lack of integrity and respect in a leader in fact the responsibility is greater for those who lead.

Honor God in all you do and say today! The key is to work no matter what your position is as though you are doing it to serve God. Your rewards will come if you are faithful.
