Take Him At His Word

by | Apr 24, 2020

Romans 4:20-22,  No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.  That is why his faith was counted to him as righteousness.

This scripture is about Abraham and how he believed God in spite of how old he and Sarah were.  God said they would have a baby and Abraham believed God.  How about you?  Do you believe God today?  The Bible tells us that He is the same God, yesterday, today, and forever.  The same God who gave Abraham and Sarah a baby when they were beyond the years of that happening is the same God who knows and cares about what you are facing.

How strong is your faith today?  Are you clinging to the promises God has given you and believing Him knowing He will keep His word?  God hasn’t changed.  The world has changed, but He is still on His throne.  God sees, He cares and He is looking for people who will trust Him and take Him at His word.  The world is in desperate need of hope and we have their answer!  Don’t allow naysayers to make your faith waiver.  Be the light.  We are called to shine His light to the rest of the world and we can’t do that if our faith is wavering.  If you are lacking faith do what the father of the demon-possessed child did in Mark 9:24 and pray, “I believe; help my unbelief”.  We’ve all been there;  that point where you know that God can, but will He?  Does He care that much to step in?  Ask Him for bold faith.  We all need such bold faith that the world can see the difference.   We need to live lives on every level that will reveal a life led and filled by God.

I would like to encourage you today to spend more time reading God’s Word.  Draw closer to Him and ask Him to guide you in all you do.  Play praise and worship music in your house.  Ask God for His confidence to be a light to all those around you.  Dig into His Word and ask Him to guide you into all that He created you to be!
