The Lamb of God is Alive

Exodus 12:23, For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.

Luke 24: 1-7
But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel.  And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third-day rise.”

The final plague/judgment against Egypt just before the. Lord led the Israelites out of Egypt, was when God sent the angel to kill every firstborn in every house that did not have the blood of a lamb on the door, which showed that they were His. Everything in God’s Word points to Jesus, and this was to shine a light on what was to come. Once Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice, died on the cross for our sin there was no longer a need for the priests to sacrifice lambs for sin; the price was paid! All you need to do is accept Him as your Savior and surrender your life to follow Him, and when the day of final judgment comes, God will look at you and see the “blood,” and you won’t suffer the final punishment of hell and separation from Him for all eternity. We celebrate Resurrection Sunday because Jesus didn’t just die like those sacrificial lambs; He rose from the dead, proving that He is the Son of God, able to deliver us from our sin!

If you have ever wondered how much He loves you, reread these verses and remember all He went through to give you freedom from the bondage of sin! If you have never accepted Him as your Savior, it is so simple. I would encourage you not to wait another day! The Bible tells us that we have all sinned (we have done things that are wrong!) and the only way to spend eternity with Him in Heaven is to confess that we are sinners, ask Him for His forgiveness, and for Jesus to be Lord of our lives! Don’t wait because you never know what a day may bring, plus what exactly would you be waiting for? Don’t miss out ~ He created you to have a relationship with you!

I love reading the different gospels to hear the different accounts of what happened. The stories are all the same, and yet you get a little of each of their personalities mixed in, so you can see how Jesus touched their individual lives. John stands out to me the most because it was obvious that He needed to feel the love of Jesus more than any of the others, because he talks about it. Jesus loves each of us where we are in life, and He cares about what our individual needs are. We are not stamped out to all be the same, and He doesn’t try to reach out to us in the same ways and means.

If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior, I encourage you to not wait another day ~ tomorrow may never come! Take time to really think about Jesus’ love for you today. What’s holding your back? Why would you want to miss out on walking with Him through all the craziness life can bring? All it takes is a simple prayer asking Him to forgive you of any sin in your life and surrendering your life to Him and His will. He has a plan laid out just for you and His plans are always best. If you have any questions please reach out to me or someone you know who is committed to Him, but don’t wait because His best is coming and you really don’t want to miss it!

If you know someone today who doesn’t know Him, take this time to reach out and be intentional in sharing His love with Him!  Pray for those who are lost!
