The “Love Void”

Ephesians 3:16-19
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge ~ that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

No matter where you are today, no matter what you may be facing or what you have in your past, He loves you! He loves you more than anyone has ever loved you or ever will love you!

As it says in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” He loves you so much that nothing can separate you from His love, not even you!

God created each of us with this overwhelming desire to be loved! He seems to have been trying to teach me since I was a very small child, that it is only His love that can truly fill that void! Maybe the reason He has allowed me to feel an overwhelming need for love all my life was so I could tell you today that He will fill that need for you if you allow Him to. There is really no other real reason for why I felt that void even as a small child because I grew up in a loving home with godly parents, no they weren’t perfect, but they loved us and told us they loved us, there was no doubt about their love for their children. But, I know what it is like to desperately want that void filled ( I used to sit on the steps of the house when I was really little and hug my collie dog and cry my heart out to him saying, “no body loves me Spike”~ and then they sold the dog, sounds silly but it went really deep in me that somehow I was lacking in a very deep way and that void in my heart was overwhelming) and I know what it is like to look for it “in all the wrong places” and I am here to say, no one on earth can fill that void like God can! God’s love is meant to fill that “void” in your life and any other love is meant to be icing on the cake! He loves you so much! He knows when you hurt, He knows about every tear you have ever cried and He wants to heal your wounded heart! He wants His best for you, but you must find it in Him!

We all know that while we are in this world we will all face heartaches and struggles, sometimes it can make you long for heaven, but He wants to help you through all of that! He wants you to have His peace and He wants you to feel His love through the storm! He wants to carry you when you just can’t make it one more step! He wants to give you back your zest for life and it is found only in Him! Don’t think for a moment that getting married is going to solve all your problems! You are precious in His sight and you are His bride! He loves you more than words can say! If you are married and you have never felt so alone for all that you are going through in your relationship, you can know that you are never alone; God loves you and He is right by your side. He wants to guide you in all that are facing today! He will be your rock and your strength! He will be the light that shows you the way you are to take! He will reveal the truth in His time and He will carry you through! You just need to give it all to Him today and trust Him! No one will ever love you more than He does! You can trust Him!

So, no matter what you are carrying today, you can know that the God of all creation loves you and wants you to experience love like you have never experienced and it is only found in Him! Seek Him today in all that you do! Know that He has your back and that if you will just trust Him, truly the best is yet to come!
