John 4:39, Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him because of the woman’s testimony.
Don’t underestimate what God can do with your testimony. Whether the path you have been down was full of wrong turns and rocky roads, or you have a testimony that by the grace of God isn’t full of mayhem, God wants to use you and your testimony. That is what we must keep in mind; it is God who does the work in and through us, it isn’t about “us”.
This Samaritan woman was most likely an outcast, and that is why she was going to the well in the heat of the day. God didn’t wait for a “more worthy” woman to come to the well to reveal that He is the Messiah. He chose her. He knew her heart ~ the townspeople judged her by what they thought they saw in her. Her encounter with Jesus so radically changed her and moved her to tell everyone about Him; they couldn’t help but believe. Don’t disqualify yourself. Don’t allow anyone else to disqualify you, and don’t get in God’s way by judging and disqualifying someone else. This is not a competition; it is a mission. Think of it this way for a moment: Jesus came to earth, taking on a body of flesh, and even though He now stands at the right hand of God, He still has a “body” here ~ us; we are called to continue His mission of reaching others with the gospel by being His hands and feet. The only qualification is surrender. Let go of your agenda and excuses for why you can’t be used and ask Him what His dreams are for your life, regardless of your age, background, ethnicity, or anything else; He still has a plan for you. I encourage you to just open your heart and mind to what His plan might be. You absolutely cannot fathom the power of your testimony when it’s placed in His hands! We only have so much time left, so give Him your all and hold on because His best is yet to come!
