Psalm 143:8b and 10
Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Teach me to do your will for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me, on level ground!

There are so many “voices” today trying to tell everyone where to go, what to do and what they have decided is right or wrong. It is vital for us as Christians to be seeking God daily and asking Him to show us what He says is right and for Him to lead us in the direction He wants us to go.

Everywhere we turn there are messages challenging what we have been taught is right and wrong, they not only challenge God’s word, they challenge the idea of anyone else following it. It isn’t enough that they have chosen to go their own way, they want everyone else to have to do the same! Psalm 119:105, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” God has given us clear direction for what is right and what is wrong, we need to spend our time daily refreshing our minds with His word to drown out the noise around us challenging it. God’s laws for the kings of Israel found in Deuteronomy 17 tells them to write down all that God has said and to read it every day so they would maintain a godly attitude without getting ‘puffed up’, thinking they were better and so they would obey God and it would be well with him, his family and Israel. You may not be a king but you are a child of The King, the God of all, and we are expected to behave as such!

Now, let’s take a look at Matthew 18:12-14, “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” We need to take a look around to see who maybe needs a “hand up”. We are not here to be the judge and jury, as much as some would like to think they are. We are here to be God’s hands and feet, we are here to reach out to those who have gone astray or maybe are being led or dragged astray and we are to love them back to God. There are so many people who are hurting and some of it is because they have taken a wrong path and instead of someone reaching out with the love of Christ, leading them back they are trying to slap knots on their heads because it somehow seems to fit a “spiritual need” they think they need to fulfill to look more spiritual themselves. As I used to tell my children when they were little and they did something wrong, “how do you think that makes Jesus feel? It makes Him sad, when we do wrong.”

Ladies, we are not just responsible for ourselves, we are responsible to reach out and be Jesus to others. The world is fighting to keep as many as they can from following Jesus! We need to fight back. We need to be the example, not the judge and jury. God will judge, we can all just let that burden go, and leave it at His feet! The world is fighting for our kids! The message is strong, so our message needs to be stronger! We need to fight together and it begins by getting in God’s word daily and embedding His truths so strongly in your heart that you cannot be swayed by what others have to say! Ask God today to show you all He has for you! Ask for His strength to stand and to be His hands and feet to reach others and to lead you on the path that He has for you!
