Training Is Provided

Titus 2:11-13
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

I believe it’s time for Christians to find the balance of true godly living by following Christ’s example. We don’t need to live the legalistic lives of the Pharisees but freedom in Christ doesn’t give us the right to live any way we choose and talk any way we choose to talk. I have heard too many people justify their ungodly behaviors by putting it all under the guise of our freedom in Christ.

God’s grace is available to train us to walk as He walked and to have godly attitudes. Jesus wasn’t a pushover but He was godly in all that He did and said. If you wonder if it is ok to do or say what you have been doing and or saying go back to the old question of “what would Jesus say or do”. We have the perfect example of how God would like us to behave and even though we will never be perfect until we are with Him our goal should be to strive to be more like Him everyday!

We need to each take one day at a time and give our thoughts, attitudes, words, addictions and behaviors to Him and allow Him to guide us in every area of our lives. Don’t look at the next week or month just do it today and tomorrow when you get up, just do it tomorrow until it becomes a habit. Give it all to Him every day and trust Him to train you to become the godly woman He has called you to be in every area of your life!
