Trust Him As He Guides You!

Psalm 119:105    Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and  a light unto my path.

If God is directing your steps then why are you questioning where you are at?  So often we allow God to lead us and then just like the Israelites in the desert we start murmuring and complaining asking why we are here or why we have to deal with “this”.  Truly trusting God means that when He leads you to something He has a greater purpose for what He is allowing in your journey.

God doesn’t make mistakes so wherever you find yourself this morning, if you have truly been following Him rejoice in where He has led you even if it is hard right now.  The best only comes when we persevere and we make it to the other side of the valley.  Without valleys there would be no mountain tops.

Ask yourself this; are you still really at a point in your walk with Him that the only way you can be happy and content is if He makes everything come up roses around you?  God is so good and we are human so we do get frustrated and down at times with what is going on around us but don’t live there.  It is ok to ask Him why and to be frustrated at times but don’t allow yourself to wallow in self pity until all anyone around you hears or sees is that you are miserable in the will of God.

We don’t always understand what He is doing (believe me, I truly get that!) but we can always trust what He is doing!  Always, always, always – you can trust what He is doing and allowing in your life.  He has a purpose and a plan – remind yourself of Jeremiah 29:11  “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to bring you a future and a hope.”  He’s got this!

Turn on some music and praise Him for who He is and what He is doing in your life today even if you don’t fully understand it.  He always has your best interest in mind and He will fulfill His plans for you, He hasn’t stopped working on it and whatever He has planned it is by far more than you could have imagined!  Take heart today, hold your head high and let the world see that you serve a great God!

I came across your site this morning – thank you for writing this – it is as if it were written just for me! I am struggling with something I see as negative in my life that I have been praying to change for nearly 3 years. I feel I am close to putting it behind me, and moving on. I think that God has a lesson for me in this and I’m just not “getting it.” I pray daily, I plead with Him daily. I just need to persevere with a grateful heart and trust Him even though I don’t understand it.
